Facebook Live, the company’s live streaming service that launched earlier this year, has been removed from the Apple TV platform.
The streaming service is now listed as discontinued on Apple TV’s website, along with several other Facebook Live apps that are available for iOS devices.
Facebook Live launched on Apple TVs in 2016 as a way for brands to stream videos from their businesses to friends and family on the service.
Facebook says the feature was designed to make it easier for consumers to discover and engage with brands, particularly on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
Facebook says it will continue to develop the service on its own and is “working closely with our partners to bring this to Apple TV.”
The move is likely to further anger fans of Facebook Live who are frustrated by the company not making it easier to find and stream video content to friends.
A Facebook representative told ABC News the company was aware of the removal of Facebook live from the app, but declined to comment further.ABC News contacted Apple for comment, but has not yet received a response.
